Stoke City have failed in their second bid to get a work permit for Jamaican international, Rudolph Austin.

The Potters had agreed a reported £1m deal with Portman United in a re-run of an similar deal last summer and but have been turned down again by the Home Office on appeal.

Stoke have now accepted that the move is now off and will have to look at other targets before the transfer window closes on August 31st.
