Carl Dickinson is returning to the Brit after his loan spell at Leeds United.

Leeds had been keen to keep Dicko beyond the original one month loan but Tony Pulis has turned down the request from Whites’ boss, Simon Grayson, to keep the defender at Elland Road. Grayson told their official site: ‘I think the likelihood is Carl will go back. That’s what happens with loan players, but we’re delighted with what he’s done.
‘He’s helped us keep clean sheets and he’s done well.
‘He’s desperate to play football and really wants to play in the Premiership which he is entitled to do.’

There’s no doubt that Dicko is a vital member of the squad and one of the younger members of the squad that is regarding highly by the Potters’ management. He’s only made six starts this season for the Potters, but with injuries to fellow defenders Danny Higginbotham, Andy Wilkinson and Ryan Shawcross in recent matches it shows that it’s vital that we have that strength in depth available and match fit for the all important run-in.
