Celtic are said to have put in a £1.5m bid to Stoke for Liam Lawrence.

The Daily Mail are reporting that their boss, Neil Lennon, watched Liam score for Ireland in their international friendly against Paraguay last week but we’d have thought that this could just be an opening bid for the winger who has asked to be allowed to leave after slipping down the pecking order last season.

It would now seem likely that other clubs will now join the chase with Wolves rumoured to be Lawrence’s favoured club at the moment.
