Brummie rip-off for Stoke fans

Stoke fans are faced with ticket prices of up to £30 on Sunday if they want to watch Stoke take on Birmingham at St. Andrews.

Coupled with the fact that the match kicks off at 11.30am on a Sunday morning and that it’s live on Sky Sports TV, it’s not surprising that many fans are going to be giving the match a miss and settle down for a late breakfast in front of the telly instead.

Even Stoke’s Chief Executive, Tony Scholes expressed surprise at the Blues’ decision but said that it was a matter for the home club and not one that the away club could influence.

Here at Vital we can see no justification for such high prices and would have normally expected cut-price tickets instead for a Sunday morning game which is live on TV.

Stoke did just that when they played Coventry on Sky earlier this season and succeeded in getting over 19,000 through the gate on a cold, foggy Monday night last November to see Andy Griffin’s wonder shot claim all three points for the Potters.
