Stoke City youngster Florent Cuvelier has returned to League One side Walsall on a 6 month loan.

The Belgian under-21 international has returned to the Bescot after a successful loan spell last season which saw the 19 year old make 18 appearances for the Saddlers, scoring 4 goals.

The central midfielder who has recently signed a new contract at the Britannia Stadium is seen as the future by Stoke`s backroom staff and will move out on loan to achieve vital first team football.

Walsall manager Dean Smith told BBC Sport: “He did extremely well for us and it’s been an on-going process since the end of the season where we’ve kept in touch with both Flo and Stoke City.

‘It’s a big compliment that Stoke believe that this is a good place for one of their up-and-coming talents to come and further his career in the game.’

Cuvelier was purchased by Stoke from Portsmouth in 2011 but has yet to make a first team appearance for the Premier League outfit.
