Afellay wins Tottenham Man of the Match poll

Ibrahim Afellay has won the Vital Stoke man of the match award for his performance in the Potters 4-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at the Britannia Stadium.

The former Barcelona attacking midfielder along with Bojan, were the only real bright sparks of a disappointing Stoke performance.

Although the Potters didn`t managed to compete in any area of the field against the Premier League champions elect, Afellay still managed to star as he showed good touches as well as trying to dictate tempo.

The 30-year old receives 5 maximum Player of the season points after winning the poll with 35% of the vote, beating Shay Given (16%) who receives 3pts and Marko Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri (14%) who receive one point each.
