Glenn Whelan has signed a four year contract with the Potters that will keep him at the Brit until 2013.

Glenn has improved in leaps and bounds after initially struggling to maintain his form in the first half of last season. His 91st minute goal for the Potters in the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa seems to be have been a turning point for the Irish international and Tony Pulis has found it hard to leave him out of the starting eleven since then. He’s also become a fixture in the Irish national side as they make a last push to try and clinch a place in next summer’s World Cup finals in South Africa.
