Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones has been linked with a move to Midland`s rivals West Bromwich Albion.

West Brom manager Steve Clarke is in search of a new striker after losing Romelu Lukaku to his parent club Chelsea after a successful loan spell last season.

The Baggies could also be short in the forward line if the expected departure of troublesome Peter Odenwengie materialises.

Clarke believes that the big Trinidad and Tobago international is an ideal replacement for the pair and with Stoke manager Mark Hughes` looking to add another striker to his squad, then the 28-year-old striker could be surplus to requirements at the Britannia Stadium.

The Potters paid £9 million for Jones in 2010 and would likely to want to at least acquire half of that fee back for the striker who has scored 23 goals in his time at the Britannia Stadium.
