Stoke City newbie Badou N’Diaye has said that from what he’s seen in the group the club have more than enough quality to avoid a relegation battle come the end of the current campaign and he’s confident we can retain our top flight status.

Following a harsh defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, Stoke did drop back into the bottom three of the Premier League table although the route to safety is only three points and West Ham sit in 13th place on 27 points, so the season is far from over.

N’Diaye does agree though that the time to change our form around on a consistent basis is now, and that front, speaking to the Official Website as he met with the media ahead of the game, it was very much time to do our talking ‘on the pitch’ now and it’s down to the players to ensure we have a strong and more uplifting end to the campaign.

‘It is difficult because we are in a position like this and we always know that we have to go out there and win the three points. It is very tight, there are a lot of teams involved in the battle, but we will just focus on ourselves because we have the players here to move up. It is very important for us to stay in the Premier League – we all know what it means, but we don`t need to sit and talk about the importance of it. We all know it!’

The basic truth of it is ultimately it comes down to the players and he more than seems to appreciate that.

‘We have to do our talking on the pitch, and make sure that we achieve what we feel we can achieve. We have the quality here to move up the table, and as I said before, I am very sure we will do that over the coming weeks.’

With a few new faces in the group now, not least Paul Lambert and his coaching staff, three points to midtable means it’s all to fight for and the table could look a hell of a lot brighter by the end of even this month.
