Vital Stoke is CHANGING!

First of all in the wondrous world that is the backrooms of Vital Stoke, Chris Baldwin has decided to step down from the position as Editor of the site, effective immediately.

Chris felt that it was time to hand over the helm to someone else, especially as he had other things on his plate that were piling up, and they couldn`t be left for the dog to eat!

He said: “Work commitments have been increasingly getting in the way of me being able to give the site the effort that it deserves and I feel that this is a good time to bow out.

“This is a very sad time as I’ve really enjoyed the last few years and I wish Vital all the very best for the future.”

Occupying the Editorial hot seat now is former Co-Editor Ryan Kalisz? me. And since climbing to the dizzy heights of power – which really is spinning round in the executive leather chair a few times – I? *cough? Kalisz has already stamped his mark on the site by giving the banner a facelift (with the kind and patient help of J P Fear).

Commenting on Kalisz, Baldwin said: “I think he’ll be really good, and he’s very keen. He got Vitalfootball mentioned on BBC Radio Stoke and ESPN on FA Cup final day by getting himself interviewed by anyone who was walking around with a mic!” – well I am a bit of a media whore to be fair.

Just coming out of third-person for a second; I just want to say in all seriousness that it has been a pleasure working for Chris. I think he has been a great editor and has worked very hard for the site over the past few years, so it`s a shame to see him go. I know that writing for Vital Stoke has been a hobby of his, not to mention keeping us Co-Ed`s in order! So I`m guessing the decision wouldn`t have been made lightly.

Thankfully, he`s not setting sail and drifting into the sunset like some misguided version of the Titanic film, he`s sticking around and will be writing the odd rant here and there when he finds the time. So it`s not all bad.

Thank you very much Chris and we wish you all the best.

Meanwhile, I`d like to know what you think about Vital Stoke! What kind of features do you want to see from the site? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve? As ever; comment below, or post in the forum!
