Former Stoke striker Vincent Pericard has signed for League 1 side Carlisle United after taking 5 months to find a new club.
Pericard, who was released in the summer, was told by Tony Pulis that his contract was not being renewed back in May. He did however spend the pre-season training with the Potters so he could remain match fit.
Trials with Cardiff and Bristol City proved unsuccessful but he has now found a new home albeit temporary as he has only signed a contract that takes him to January 2010.
Vice signed for the Potters over 3 years ago on a free and brought much excitement amongst Stoke fans following his background, that saw him being raised at Juventus and playing Premier League football with Portsmouth.
He endured a torrid time at Stoke as he only managed 2 goals in 38 appearances.
Lets hope he shines at League 1 level and prolongs his stay with Carlisle.
