After all the speculation surrounding Josh Tymon’s switch from Hull City to Stoke City this summer, the club announced his signing yesterday.

The 18 year old left back started four top flight games for Hull last year with an additional appearance as a substitute, and he also took in two FA Cup games – scoring his maiden goal in the victory over Swansea – and five further showings in the League Cup.

Capped at England U17 and U18 levels, he was called into the U20 squad for the Toulon Tournament in May and played in all five games as England retained the trophy.

Having been on scholarship terms with Hull, he now signs his first professional deal at the Bet365 Stadium and with it seeming that no fee was agreed, Hull will be entitled to training compensation.
