Swedish right-back Markus Jonsson is reportedly on the verge of completing a dream move to the Premier League with Stoke.

The 28 year old AIK star, who has been capped 4 times, is available on a free transfer following his contact expiring. With Pulis currently alternating between record signing Robert Huth and Andy Wilkinson and with highly rated youngster Ryan Shotton in reserve it would seem a needless move for the club to make

However Jonsson`s attacking nature would bring something different to the role and add even further competition for places in an already competitive squad.

Jonsson has been trying to force a move to England over the last couple of seasons but his club`s reluctance to sell their first choice penalty taker could now leave them with egg on their face, if he choices to take up the reported 2 year contract.
