Former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf is on the radar of Stoke City manager Mark Hughes.

Diouf, who scored 25 goals in 43 appearances last season for Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga is seen as the solution for Stoke`s goal-shy strike force in the eyes of Mark Hughes.

Hannover have confirmed that Stoke are in talks with the players agent, whilst Stoke chairmen Peter Coates has confirmed the forward is one of the Potters` targets.

The Senegalese forward who was highly rated by former Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson had a disappointing spell at Old Trafford after the Scot had scouted the player for 2 years before making a move.

Diouf had had loan spells at Blackburn and Molde whilst in Manchester before moving to Germany in 2012 where he has found his goal scoring touch.

The 25-year-old forward is said to be available for around £8 million.
