It’s party time at the Brit on Saturday as everyone intends to celebrate the Potters’ Premier League survival and to round off a great season at the Brit, three points from the Latics would be perfect.

Whilst the classic ‘mid table security’ usually tends to come with a rather tepid end to the season, such an event is something to be celebrated in the Potteries and is more than most fans would have dreamed off back in August last year. The final home match of the season will revive strong memories and emotions of last year’s promotion to the Premier League and there’s no doubt that we’re in for some more of the same.

Vital Quotes:

There should be no thoughts of holidays yet for the Stoke team and Tony Pulis has reminded the players of that: ‘Everyone will want to perform well. If we get beaten it will be a bit of a downer’

Stoke City Team News:

TP may be able to name the same eleven came away from the KC Stadium last week with all three points. The only question mark is over Andy Wilkinson, but he may be fit after battling with a slight back problem.

Henri Camara is one player who will not be taking part as the Wigan loanee is ineligible to participate.

Player to watch: Abdoulaye Faye

A great first season at Stoke is likely to be capped off by capturing all the player of the season awards.

Wigan Team News:

Wigan succumbed to a late goal from Tevez on Wednesday as they continue a poor run of form that has only seen them pick up one point in the last six games amid accusations from Latics’ fans that their players are already on holiday.

Player to watch: Amr Zaki

The Egyptian has spent the season on loan with the Latics and scored 11 goals. It’s just as well that Steve Bruce has had the use of his services, since Henri Camara is the next highest scorer (on six) and of course he’s with us at the moment. Whilst the third highest scorer is Emile Heskey and he joined Aston Villa in January.
