Jan de Koning has indicated that on loan Hammers midfielder Luke Chadwick may be signed permanently when the January transfer window opens.
Former Man Utd player Chadwick is currently on a six month loan deal at the Britannia Stadium and de Koning said:
‘The best thing for Stoke is to have players here on a permanent basis. When they are on loan they can be called back and you have to look for another player and we saw what happened on the day of the Carling Cup game against Mansfield. We were told he couldn’t play.’
Talking about a permanent deal, de Koning said: ‘Maybe it’s possible or we will take him on loan for another six months and buy him in the summer, but that’s up to the board.’
