Stoke planning new signings

Tony Pulis has revealed that the Potters are close to signing up to four players as soon as the season ends and the transfer window reopens.

He told the Official Supporters Club’s ‘Meet the Manager’ event last night that he was hoping to get ‘three or four deals done’ in the next few weeks.

Pulis is still hopeful of keeping the likes of Salif Diao, who was signed on a short term contract in January, and hopes that Diao, Andy Griffin and Lee Hendrie will end up signing permanent contracts.

It also appears that Jon Parkin still may be in the manager’s sights for a permanent contract even though his loan deal was cut short by Hull City last week. There has been intense speculation from fans at the KC Stadium that the Tigers would like to get rid of Parkin in the summer even though he still has two years left on his existing contract.

All good positive news and it’s a pleasant change to be going into the final leg of the season where the only thing we have to worry about is whether we will be in the Premiership or the Championship come August.
