Stoke City’s fixtures are out for the 2009/2010 Premier League season – but we can’t tell you much about them so you’ll have to view the full list on the official site.

Due to the nature of football and the rules and regulations they impose we aren’t able to mention fixtures or publish lists, without paying vast fees to the football authorities, despite the fact these fixtures are basically just adverts for the games we pay our hard earned money to go and see. Beyond belief? You bet!

All I’m allowed to say (despite a European Court of Justice ruling which should have put paid to the charging for fixture lists, but no one is in a financial position to be able to challenge the leagues) is the following:

The first match of the new season will kick-off on 15th August with Premier League new boys, Burnley, making the trip to the Britannia. The Christmas period sees us up at Manchester City and at home to Birmingham City. The season concludes with a daunting trip to Old Trafford!

  • Yeah, but what about me?

Removed… yup, you as well I’m afraid, they are still published on our network, whether by you or our editors! Mad eh?! [Edited by TheFear]

  • Tell us more about this European Court of Justice ruling and why it hasn’t been enforced? Cheers!

  • What a horrible fixture list, a difficult start against two of the promoted teams and Liverpool and then a daunting finish aaginst chelsea, everton and m,an u. Looks like the middle third of the season will be our most productive.

  • Should be a good game against Burnley. They’ll bust a gut to try to get a result but the Potters will ride the storm and put a couple of goals away. If Burnley are to survive they need to bring in a better striker, and soon.
