Stoke move for Magpie midfielder

The Potters have tabled a £2m bid for Newcastle midfielder Abdoulaye Faye according to the Daily Mail.

With time ticking away to the first match against Bolton on Saturday, Tony Pulis is reported to have put in a formal bid for the Senegalese international just a year after his £2.5m move from Lancashire to Tyneside.

Abdoulaye is not to be confused with fellow Senegalese, Amdy Faye who is still on trial at Stoke from Charlton.
