Stoke have made their first signing of the Summer Transfer window by capturing 17 year old Florent Cuvelier from Portsmouth. The Belgian has signed a two year contract and has joined for an undisclosed fee.

Just like twelve months ago the Potters have added young talent to their squad first as Cuvelier follows Ben Marshall and Matthew Lund from last year. The highly thought of midfielder had also been linked with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and Wigan.

Boss Tony Pulis told the official site “Florent is definitely one for the future and we are delighted he has chosen to move here”.

Cuvelier will initially join up with the Academy but may join up with the first team later on this season.
