I only took a day and a bit off and Stoke City’s planning for the coming season didn’t! I should’ve known really with how quickly Gary Rowett has tried to hit the ground running so far this summer.
So as a quick recap, teenage starlet Lasse Sorensen has been impressing our new man in charge and the 18-year-old has now penned a new long-term contract at the club. Having broken into the first team at the tail end of last season – making his full debut in our final day victory over Swansea City – he’s been rewarded for his progress with a new five-year deal.
Great last few months for Lasse Sorensen ????

Moritz Bauer also made himself more popular amongst the fanbase with news of a new five-year contract of his own. With the Austrian international only joining us in January, it’s another massive statement of intent from the club as we approach what we hope will be only one season back in the Championship after last season’s Premier League disappointments.
Rowett was clearly delighted with this news, telling the Official Website.
“First and foremost it’s a statement of intent from the Club that we want to be strong and possibly stronger than last season and secondly it’s confirmation that players can see that we’re planning for a real push. Its fantastic news and I’m looking forward to working with another top player.”
Stoke fans on social media were clearly on board with that when the news broke.
