Stoke City’s hopes of landing England keeper, Scott Carson are hanging in the balance amid reports of late interest from Blackburn Rovers and continued interest from West Brom.

It’s been widely reported that Stoke have agreed a £4m deal with Liverpool for the 22 year old who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Stoke management spent yesterday wooing Carson and his agent at the Brit to try and agree personal terms, but Rovers may now be trying to tempt him to Ewood Park should they lose Brad Friedel to Villa. Some media are also reporting that West Brom have also had their bid accepted by Liverpool, which will allow Carson to talk to them as well.

There’s no doubt that signing good players is never going to be easy for Stoke as the best will always attract significant interest from other clubs, so it’s another anxious time ahead for Potters’ fans who are keen to see who Stoke will sign first.
