The Potters have been drawn at home against Bradford or Millwall from League 1 in the third round of the FA Cup

The tie will be played at the Britannia on either the 6th or 7th January 2007

Fans were kept in suspense right up to the end as the Potters’ draw was last out of the hat.

At least Stoke managed to avoid another non-league banana skin with last season’s third round opponents, Tamworth, getting a home tie against Norwich, but we just missed out on a plum tie away against Chelsea. League 1 opponents should always be beatable at the Britannia, but the Potters can hardly claim a successful record when it come to cup ties.

Looking at the other matches, at least four Premiership clubs will be definitely missing from the fourth round draw with Man U vs Villa, Liverpool vs Arsenal, Portsmouth vs Wigan and Everton vs Blackburn.
