On the final day of the transfer window, is Dave Kitson going to leave Stoke and join Portsmouth?

The Daily Mail are reporting that Pompey could be in the frame to sign the striker who is certain to slip further down the pecking order at the Brit now that Beattie has hit the ground running with his second goal in three starts on Saturday.

Kitson has failed to make any impression since joining from Reading in a £5.5m deal in the summer and now that we seem to have a good replacement in James Beattie, maybe today could be a chance to recoup some of that investment and ship him out? One thing that may make that unlikely is that Tony Adams’ team are plummeting down the league and we’ve yet to play them at the Brit – should we therefore give them any chance of an advantage over us? Certainly, that’s Middlesbrough’s thinking as it was revealed at the weekend that we’ve missed out on Chris Riggott for just that reason.

  • All rumour it seems .. Not sure we’d want him anyway if he can score for you.. We are after all in the same relegation scrap !
