A first-half Carl Hoefkens penalty was not enough to see the Potters record a victory in Austria following their 1-1 draw with Turkish side Manisapor on Tuesday night.
City’s first game came on Saturday night against FC Gratkorn. They saw a lead slip following Dave Brammer’s 18th minute volley, but two spectacular second half Gratkorn goals saw Stoke’s hopes of a victory dashed.
In the second game against Manisapor, City again took a first-half lead only to succumb to a second half goal from the Turkish side.

Despite not recording a victory, the level of performance was high from the Potters, and boss Tony Pulis saw the trip as one to work on fitness and strength, helped by the Austrian altitude levels.

Rob Duggan played the full match against Gratkorn following a slight injury to number one Steve Simonsen.

Check back to the site soon as City fans have their say on the season ahead, which kicks off on August 5th against Southend.
