French striker Loic Remy is in Stoke to hold discussions about a possible move to the Britannia stadium. The 23 year-old has been the subject of a fury of interest from West Ham, Tottenham and Liverpool over the last few weeks but Sky Sports reveals it appears that Stoke may have won the chase at the last minute.

Remy, entitled the next Thierry Henry in his homeland, has flown in to look around the new training ground and will speak to Tony Pulis. The much sought after striker will almost certainly become the Potters record signing as rival clubs have all bided around £10-£12 million, trouncing the £6 million paid for Robert Huth 12 months ago.

Remy`s current side Nice have said that other clubs interests is thinning and Stoke should take advantage “If the Liverpool trail has been abandoned and the West Ham one has clearly got colder, Stoke should get into position. And Rennes are still remaining.’

Tony Pulis hunt for a striker has been well documented, with it being heavily reported that the Potters had a bid for Carlton Cole turned down and Kenwyne Jones and Craig Bellamy are others who have been linked. Remy would certainly be an asset and we hope he could strike up an impressive partnership with Tuncay and Ricardo Fuller.

It appears after almost 3 months the Potters are beginning to get their act together regarding signing players with Jon Walters expected to arrive, Loic Remy in talks and Kevin Prince-Boateng subject to a bid. Hopefully it could be a busy few days for Pulis and co.
