Stoke have upped their search for new loan signings, which have become more critical since the injury to defender, Clint Hill.

Fans are becoming hardened to yet more unconfirmed reports of players being linked to the Potters, the trick, so far not very successful at the Brit, is to turn these reports into actual signings.

This time the player is West Ham defender, Calum Davenport who is on the sidelines for the Hammers as he struggles back to full fitness following hernia surgery. He was signed from Spurs in January 2007, but has only made six appearances for the first team and Alan Curbishley seems ready to let him go out on loan. Norwich are also reported to be chasing the 24 year old, who spent time on loan at Carrow Road in 2005.
