Johan Boskamp will have to wait another 10 days until after the Coventry game to find out if he is going to be offered a new contract.

It has been reported that Stoke director, Peter Coates is submitting a revised offer for the club and has already made it clear that Boskamp is unlikely to feature in his plans if he takes over the club. Former manager and current Plymouth Argyle boss, Tony Pulis is being tipped to get his old job back – if he wants it.

The Icelandic consortium do now seem ready to talk seriously with Coates and would not want to jeopardise any potential deal by giving the manager a new contract at this stage.

Who’ll give me odds on Pulis and Rudge being back at the helm come July 1st?
