Saturday’s clash against Brighton in the Premier League saw Stoke City smash their record attendance figure for the fourth time this season.

Playing out a one all draw with Chris Hughton’s side, 29,876 supporters were in attendance for the game and it sets a new record for the club given the Stadium’s 20 year history.

Against Arsenal we saw 29,459 come through the gates, and that was beaten when Chelsea visited in September with the count being 29,661. The tie against Huddersfield Town saw that record reset at 29,785 and we improved on that once more last weekend.

The growing figure is down to an increase in Stadium capacity following summer construction work on the South East Corner and prior to the increase in capacity, the previous record was 28,218 which was set when Everton visited for an FA Cup clash back in January 2002.
