On Wednesday Stoke City confirmed that Harry Souttar had signed a new long term contract at the club and then had departed to join Scottish Premiership side Ross County on a loan deal.

The highly rated 19 year old centre half returns to Scotland following his time with Dundee United as he came through their ranks making two senior starts with a return of one goal, and a substitute showing.

Having moved to Stoke City last summer, he has made his debut as a substitute in the EFL Cup win over Rochdale earlier in the season and he also gained three starting appearances in the EFL Trophy for our Under 23 side.

Having signed a four and a half year deal with Stoke, he returns to Scotland until the end of the season and he’ll be hoping to really get some regular game time under his belt to boost his development with an eye to impressing new manager Paul Lambert for next season.
