Thomas Sorensen has signed a new one-year deal at the Britannia Stadium.

Sorensen, 37, will extend his Stoke stay into its 7th season after initially moving to the Potteries in 2008, arriving from Aston Villa on a free transfer.

The former Danish goalkeeper confirmed his extension via Twitter:

“Really happy to have agreed a new 1 year deal with Stoke City. Great club, great fans and exciting times ahead #potternation.”

The Stopper has found himself as second choice goalkeeper behind Asmir Begovic as of late and only made four Premier League appearances last season.
