Stoke City keeper, Thomas Sorensen is on target for a piece of the action in the knock out rounds of the World Cup if Denmark can beat Japan on Thursday.

Sorensen’s Danish team picked up their first points of the competition yesterday after they came from behind to see off Cameroon by two goals to one. They had already been on the end of a 2-0 defeat courtesy of Holland, but that was not too unexpected as the Dutch are seen as one of the stronger sides in the competition.

Thursday’s decider against Japan will therefore be crucial with only a win good enough to see the Danes through to the next stage. A scenario which sounds very familiar to all us England fans…..
