It was being reported late yesterday evening that Chelsea had now put goalkeeper Jack Butland at the top of their list to replace Thibaut Courtois.
Sky Sports reported last night that Chelsea had installed our stopper as their top replacement if the Belgian stopper moves on this summer with speculation continuing to link him with moves to the likes of Real Madrid.
Following relegation, it’s also reported that for the right price Butland can go, but Stoke will certainly be looking for around the £30million mark for him following Jordan Pickford’s switch from Sunderland to Everton.
Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also linked with an interest in the player, but Sky believe he wants to test himself further up the Premier League as an extra benefit should be a top six side giving him a greater shot at the England No 1 shirt. Others would warn of him sitting on the bench
One to watch, his departure would certainly be a blow given our promotion hopes this year but at a certain price with the loss of the Premier League money it does make sense from a stability point of view financially – but fans might want to wait for Courtois developments before they panic.

I have to say Jack should think VERY carefully before joining Chelsea….he only has to chat with his mate Asmir….he just sat on the bench for a couple of years then joined Bournemouth!! I don`t think Jack would want that PLUS he wants to play for England ……Tony

Would love to keep him but first team football at Chelsea could make him into a top goalkeeper! Only sell for 30million +
