Stoke keeper, Steve Simonsen has expressed his amazement in reports that Stoke manager, Tony Pulis has been linked with the vacant post at Norwich City.

Simonsen told BBC Radio Stoke that he doesn’t believe Tony Pulis will leave the Brit and thinks he is still totally committed to the Potters’ cause.

Although there is a section of the Potters’ faithful that never wanted Pulis back at the Brit and have campaigned at any and every opportunity to get rid of him, I believe that the majority of fans are behind the current management structure. It does not makes sense to let the manager go who has taken the squad, built on a shoe-string budget, to be a comfortable top half table team. For the Potters, a change of manager at this important time, together with all the frequent changes of leadership over the past few years could spell catastrophe for the club.

Hopefully, the promised transfer war chest will be opened wide for some serious spending in the January Sales and we’ll finally get the team that will take us (with Tony Pulis) onwards and upwards.
