Stoke City striker, Mamady Sidibe has revealed that he may decide never to play for this country again after the horrific injury he sustained after the Mali vs Togo international last month.

He told Stoke City’s official site that he had his wife and children to consider before making a final decision.

If he does decide to call it a day on his international career, it will mean that he will miss the African Cup of Nations in January next year after Mali had qualified during that fateful match in Togo in which Mama sustained the arm injury after being attacked by Togo supporters after the game.

Big Mama returned to the Stoke line-up on Saturday for the disappointed 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United and instantly reminded fans that he may not score many goals but is more than worth his place in the squad for his ability in the air.

If he does not travel to Ghana for the international competition, then that can only be regarded as the Potters’ gain and Mali’s loss.
