Sam Bang back yet?

Sammy Bangoura, already revered at the Brit for his 8 goals in 14 outings, has not yet arrived back in the Potteries after playing in the African Cup for Guinea.

Everyone will still remember the farce that preceded his first game for Stoke, where he turned up two weeks late after international duty, was first turned back for not having the correct visa and then 3 days later held at East Midlands airport by immigration officials for 24 hours.

So I hope you will forgive me for being a bit sceptical but when I heard reports that Boskamp was trying to get him back for the game last Saturday, I thought he was being a little bit hopeful and wondered if we were due for a repeat performance.

Then on Monday it was reported he would be back that day and now, on Tuesday, the official website are quoted as saying that ‘Boskamp expects striker Bangoura back at the club this week?

If anyone has any news of the whereabouts of our wandering striker, post them in the comments box below.

If I hear any news (hopefully good), I’ll also post them here.

Come on Sammy, we need you back at Stoke!
