Ref Watch: Cardless Martin to ref Capital One tie

Stephen Martin has been appointed the referee for Stoke`s Second Round Capital One Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.

Martin has been in charge of six fixtures this season in all competitions and has yet to hand out a single card.

In fact, the Staffordshire referee has failed to hand out a single card in his last nine games he has officiated in.

The man in the middle was the official in charge of Tranmere`s Capital One Cup first round triumph against Bolton; a fixture they won in a penalty shootout.
