Former England International Peter Crouch could link up with manager Harry Redknapp for a fourth time.

QPR’s manager Redknapp has admitted to being interested in bringing the 31-year-old striker back to Loftus Road for a second spell.

Redknapp has confessed that the deal isn’t straightforward though as Stoke are unlikely to sell the forward they bought from Redknapp when he was in charge at Tottenham for a club record £12 million deal in 2011.

‘Crouch’s name came up in a meeting with the chairman but I don’t think Stoke want to sell him.

“Things can changes but at this stage we’re not close to doing anything.” Redknapp told BBC Sport.

Crouch has played under Redknapp’s stewardship at Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham.

The beanpole striker has 5 scored goals for Stoke this season but has been on a difficult run of late after having several teeth knocked out after a collision with Newcastle’s Fabricio Collocini.

The incident has forced the striker to play a number of games wearing a gum shield.
