The Potters face a stern test this weekend as they make the short journey down the M6 to face Staffordshire neighbours, Wolves who have had a good start under new manager, Mick McCarthy.

The Potters failed last weekend to come away with three home points after a disappointing performance, losing 0-1 to Burnley and whilst it may be a tad too early to sound the alarm, it is vital that Stoke start picking up some wins soon.

Vital Quotes:

Tony Pulis seems likely to give Ricardo Fuller his debut at Molineux and the Jamaican who was signed from Southampton last month is eager to prove his worth. He told the official site: ‘I’ve come here to play games and to add something to the squad which is not already here and improve on what this club has done already.

I’m definitely looking forward to making my debut. I’ve come to the club and seen the fans are very passionate and I can’t wait to show my passion for them by working hard, grabbing myself some goals and creating some goals as well.’

Wolves Team News:

Jackie McNamara will not figure as he recovers from injury even though he played in a friendly against Cheltenham in midweek.

Player to watch: Jay Bothroyd

The 24 year old striker, who was signed from Charlton in the summer, has already prived himself with three goals in five starts for Wolves.

Stoke City Team News:

So it looks like Ricardo Fuller will partner Mamade Sidibe up front as Vincent Pericard and Sam Bangoura are still sidelined with injuries.

eff Whitley (on loan from Cardiff) will be available for selection after having to return home for personal reasons and Andy Wilkinson may also have a chance of selection and he seems to have recovered from his pre-season ankle injury.

Player to watch: Ricardo Fuller

The traveling Stoke fans will be keen to see if a fully-fit Fuller can live up to his previous form and start scoring those badly needed goals for the Potters
