Stoke are reportedly in talks with Sunderland over a £9 million transfer for Kenwyne Jones. The 25 year-old who spent 3 months on loan 5 years ago almost joined Liverpool in January but it Sky Sports say that Steve Bruce is finally ready to cash in.

It looks as though Pulis and Coates might be priced out of a move for Loic Remy but Jones is certainly a very good second choice. The Trinidad man has scored 21 goals over the past 2 season for the Blackcats, Stoke are drastically short of goals upfront

Sky Sports is also reporting that Stoke are in talks with West Ham over the potential transfer of Radoslav Kovac. The 30 year-old holding midfielder`s arrival may mean that Salif Diao is leaving the club. A fee hasn`t been reported but the Czech international played 31 times last season scoring twice.

Another busy day then for Pulis and co but lets hope that these discussions end up with the club adding to their squad. Pulis is targeting 4 or 5 players so there is plenty more to come on the transfer front.
