With no confirmed signings yet at the Brit, the rumour mill continues to work overtime, so this is our pick of the best doing the rounds at the moment.

COULD BE IN?

Guirane N’Daw
(Scohaux) The Senegalese midfielder is currently plying his trade in the French Ligue 1. The 24 year old has been linked to the Potters in a £3m move, although Celtic are also reported to be keen after he was linked to the Scottish champions last summer.

Marlon Harewood (Aston Villa) Has had some good form as a ‘super-sub’ this season at Villa Park, but will be disappointed with only two starts since moving from West Ham last summer in a £4m move and it’s therefore not surprising that he’s being linked to several clubs where he thinks he may get a better chance of some games.

Kevin Phillips (WBA) Whether the 35 year old striker is really worth a taking a chance on in the Premier is up for debate if he decides to turn his back on the new contract from the Baggies, but there is no doubt that he was a major element in the Baggies promotion last season and may be a useful addition to the squad.

Sun Jihai (Man City) The 30 year old Chinese international defender made seven starts and another seven from the bench last season and could be surplus to requirements at the City of Manchester Stadium with the Potters being linked as he tries to stay in the Premier League next season.

Rudolph Austin (Portmore) The Jamaican international has been a Potters target for 12 months after Ric Fuller recommended him and Demar Phillips to Tony Pulis. A successful trial followed, but a lack of international caps meant that a UK work permit was not forthcoming. He should now qualify for a work permit with the Reggae Boyz due to play five matches during June and we’d expect Stoke to move again for the defender who is 23 years old today.

DEFINITELY NOT IN

Patrik Berger
(Aston Villa) Tony Pulis poured scorn over reports that Berger had been offered a one year contract by Stoke, later confirmed by news that he has signed for Sparta Prague.

GONE QUIET FOR NOW

No news yet about Stoke’s number one keeper. Both Carlo Nash (Wigan) and Marton Fulop (Sunderland) are in the frame with Pulis seemingly more inclined towards Fulop if Roy Keane will consider letting him go. Nash, who’s currently busy on holiday in Africa, had let it be known he would like a permanent move to the Brit and Steve Bruce has said that he would consider letting him leave the JJB Stadium.
