It was reported that Tony Pulis had drafted in Gordon Banks, as well as appointing Ricardo Fuller and Carlo Nash to do their motivational speeches to the squad before the FA Cup Semi-Final game against Bolton Wanderers. By God it didn`t half work!

The words from all three men, along with the added wisdom of Pulis himself, must have given them Goosebumps. The pride and the passion was evident in every single player that took to the big stage, and they gave it their all.

Now heading into the Final this weekend, would Pulis consider this video? It`s a poem called ‘If` by famous English poet Rudyard Kipling, featuring images of all time Stoke City, and footballing legend Sir Stanley Mathews.

Sir Stan would be immensely proud of the players for reaching the FA Cup Final for the first time in Stoke`s history, and I`m sure would wish them every bit of luck that could possibly be given.

Perhaps the thought of his success as a player blended with the emotional poetry – that was actually featured in the film Mike Basset: England Manager – would be another way to inspire the team, and fire up the adrenaline.

Watch it and tell us what you think!
