Stoke City and manager Gary Rowett confirmed the backroom boys that will aid him as we return to the Championship for the season of 2018/19.
Plans are now falling into place for Rowett as he welcomes six men to the club, Kevin Phillips, Callum Davidson, Rory Delap, Mark Sale, Dave Carolan and Joe Carnell will all take up their roles as preparations continue for the year ahead.
The return of Delap, in particular, has delighted the fans and as part of his role he will dip into our Under 23 and Under 18 levels at points to help develop the youngsters.
Phillips, Davidson, Delap and Sale join as first-team coaches. Phillips will take strikers for obvious reasons, with Davidson and Delap taking the midfield and defence groups respectively.
Carolan comes in as Head of Performance and Carnall Head of Tactical Insights. Andy Quy continues as our goalkeeping coach.
Fans welcomed all six to the club as they responded to the news, but obviously, Rory dominated in the responses.
