The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Rochdale and Stoke City’s Under 23s this Tuesday in the EFL Trophy.

Stoke City travel to Rochdale on Tuesday October 3 for the EFL Trophy tie at Spotland Stadium and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Martin Coy
Assistant Refs: Paul Newhouse and Gareth Mellor
Fourth Official: David Richardson

Match Day referee Coy has officiated six games in 2017/18 with a return of seven yellow cards.

He took charge of 25 matches in 2016/17 mostly at National League level and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 84 yellow cards and one red card.

He was most card happy in the match between Barrow and Forest Green Rovers with a total of nine yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
