Stoke City have confirmed today that midfielder Giannelli Imbula has now left the Bet365 Stadium for a season-long loan spell out with Spanish side Rayo Vallecano.
The 25-year-old has made 28 appearances for the club following his arrival back in February 2016 and that’s just an utterly pathetic return given the reported £18.3million we initially paid Porto for him – especially given his lack of game time for them.
He spent the 2017/18 season out on loan with Toulouse but despite his obvious talent…meh.
🗣️ Gary Rowett is expecting more outgoings to take place within the final 24 hours of the loan transfer window.

This article is already longer than the effort the Stoke official site put in to announce his departure and unless I’m going blind nobody has bothered to tweet it out either so that probably speaks volumes.
We will never be rid of this one until his contract is up. Palacios mk2

Again showing how much of a great £18 million we spent on him.

Reactions from those fans who did take to social media have been perfectly predictable largely as you can see above and given I have to have a certain number of words in any piece published, leaning on their comments makes my life easier here.
The responses I can’t print are funnier.
