It is being reported that Blackburn Rovers’ player, Jay McEveley may join the Potters on loan until Christmas.

The Blackburn Rovers and England Under-21 defender has struggled to get into the Rovers first team and was sent out on loan to Ipswich last season, but a recurring knee injury restricted his appearances to only 17 starts.

The previous season he was loaned out to Burnley and Gillingham where he scored in the Gills 2-1 win over the Potters in March 2005.

Stoke also seem to be continuing in their efforts to retain the services of fellow Rovers’ player, Paul Gallagher who spent the whole of last season at the Britannia Stadium. It’s not clear at this moment whether he will also come back on loan or whether Stoke will be able to sign him permanently.
