The Football Association have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday.

Stoke City host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday January 7 for the FA Cup Third Round tie at the Bet365 Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Michael Jones
Linesmen: Andrew Halliday and Paul Hodskinson
Fourth Official: Darren Bond

Match Day referee Jones has officiated 14 games in 2016/17, with a return of 51 yellow cards and three red cards.

This season his highest card count was seven yellows and one red in the Accrington v Morecambe game. He also showed eight yellows in the game between Arsenal and Bournemouth in November.

He took in 40 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 131 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth on February 2 with a total of seven yellow cards shown. Seven were also shown between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth on February 2.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
