Stoke City`s Liam Lawrence has been named February`s Actim Index Player of the Month, the Official Player Ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, as featured on ITV`s ‘Championship Goals`.

The Potters midfielder, who is currently the overall leader in the Actim Index, was statistically the best player in February with an impressive 139 points overall, finishing six points above QPR striker Patrick Agyemang. The ex-Sunderland player scored four goals from 13 shots, and made 51 passes and 24 crosses as he helped his club win five out of six games last month.

Lawrence was overjoyed to receive his award. He said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this award as it`s always nice to be recognised for your performances, especially by the league`s official ratings system. I am happy with how our season has gone so far and hope that I can help Stoke achieve promotion this season.”

Cardiff City`s Welsh International Joe Ledley was the recipient of last month`s inaugural Actim Index award, finishing with a total of 113 points for the month.
