On Saturday, Stoke City slipped to their fifth defeat of the 2018/19 Championship campaign as we suffered defeat at the hands of manager Gary Rowett’s former club Birmingham City.

It wasn’t a great day at the Bet365 Stadium and Che Adams hit the deciding goal late on in the second half of the game to take the points from us, but the performance was pretty woeful and there were few, if any, positives that fans could take from the game.

Some fans did find some as I pointed out earlier this morning, but the tail off as the game drew on is probably of significant concern even if flashes still existed at the beginning of the game.

With Rowett being sent from the dugout in the game as he protested penalty shouts and official decisions – however politely he claims – the after game interviews did not go over well with these fans at least.

Early season hopes and expectations feel such a long time ago.
