Manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that Geoff Cameron should come back into his thoughts for tonight’s clash against Burnley.

With defeat to Leicester City now behind us and Stoke looking for a reaction in the midweek trip to Turf Moor to take on Sean Dyche’s battlers, Cameron returns to the gaffer’s thoughts following a thigh strain he picked up whilst on international duty but Xherdan Shaqiri will once again miss out.

In wider news though we have no fresh injury concerns but some are carrying knocks and niggles but they shouldn’t be issues that complicate the match day squad.

Speaking to the Official Website as he met with the media ahead of tonight’s action, the Welshman explained.

‘We`ve got a few bumps and bruises from the weekend but that won`t affect them not playing tomorrow. We will be without Xherdan Shaqiri, he may well train with the group today, but it will be too soon for him to be involved.’

At least a training return is a bonus for Shaqiri there, so moving swiftly onto Cameron, whilst it’s not guaranteed he can return for the game, chances are he will.

‘We`re waiting on Geoff Cameron, the hope is that he will be available but it could be that he misses out again, we will have to assess him today and see. Apart from the bumps and bruises for a number of people, including Peter Crouch who got a bang on his knee, everyone is available.’
